quiet returns

Aisha Al-Tarawneh

it’s time to go home,

and the wind licks at the pavements,

whistling into the cracks lining

story apartments, playing the

street lamps like an instrument,

scraping a gentle bow over

the city streets.

Aisha Al-Tarawneh is a nineteen-year-old from Denmark and Jordan. She loves archery and ice hockey and supports Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo. Some of her favourite poets include Sergei Esenin and Vladimir Mayakovski.
